Nelcida graduated from Hofstra University in 2000, with a double major Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Africana Studies with Honors.  Prior to graduation, she spent her last semester in Washington D.C., as an intern for the United States Supreme Court.  Nelcida attended the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University where she also earned a Certificate of Study in Criminal Law & Procedure.  While at Hofstra, Nelcida worked in the Criminal Justice Clinic as a student Attorney and the Political Asylum Clinic as a translator.  She was a member of the National Trial Competition Team and Student Admission Ambassador for Hofstra.  She served one term as the President for the Black Law Students Association and Treasurer for the Public Justice Foundation.  Nelcida also served as Judicial Intern to the Honorable Troy K. Weber, J.S.C., in Bronx County, New York.

Before joining KWC, Nelcida was in the White-Collar Crime Division and Special Litigation Unit at two NYC law firms.  She later opened her private law practice where she represented clients in Criminal, Real Estate and Immigration proceedings.  After that she worked for a life insurance company where her focus was on Financial Planning and Wealth Management.

Today, at Keidel, Weldon & Cunningham, LLP, Nelcida handles the defense of insurance agents and brokers in professional liability lawsuits in both New York and New Jersey.
